    Relicing

    Its strange in the midnight, my advice is that keep your guitar away from you while you have the same crazy thoughts and emotion as I did. I pick up the file and some sand papers, then tried to relic 'Ash'. 'Ash' has a Tele shape body, but what make the relicing difficult is that 'Ash' has a resonating space at the bottom where it should be the key relic parts. I give up abroad sanding to avoid any harm to the resonating part and take just few strike to the body edge. Wear and tears are taken around the body to make it look aged, and don't forget to add some graphite on the wounds to make them old. Just see the photos below and I will keeping on the work step by step. Oh yes, nearly forget, I also asked my sis to draw a pair of phenix wings on the back, to represent the meaning of 'Ash', burn up to ahses and reborn by the fire!

    Saying about the Science Popularization Activities

    Science popularization is a chinese scientific activity, don't know if there is such statement in other countries. Yesterday is the first day of our 'National Science Week' which will last for a week. The activities mainly focus on science popularization to the citizens and encourage the research institutions to open to the society, to let more and more people concern in science. Atteched photos were taken in yesterday's live, not many photos of my own, 'cause the photographer always got less photos of himself...
     
    Today's perfomence is histrionic. At first we were told that there are only two guitar amps there but we need three. What was worse, we ask to conect my GT-8 to the PA, but they refused! So we made a compromise that we use a small 15w amp which sounds not too bad! Just to our term to start, the Marshall got in trouble and couldn't even make a sound. The situation made us disappointed but the show needs to go on. So I give up playing with my 'Ash' and just to make the vocal. The interesting  scene happenede when I sudden got the idea of playing the solo when jimi's not play. We made it, me and jimi keep on give the guitar to each other and finish the song 'voodoo chile', that's really cool. Hope some one has recorded it, that would be a great fun! I think Lao Lee has got some photos of the show, will upload them when I got hose photos.

    Fallen leaf

    A fighting day. I get up with a slight headache, feeling fidget with the foreboding of the tough day! The most difficult thing in China is to communicate with people I believe. Once heard a word- Where there is benifit, there is combat. Today I witness a graceless scene, whatever, I dont wanna bring the displeasure here. While doing my job of photographing, a fallen leaf meet the mind when I was trying to close the window. I shot it and think it looks nice. A colorful leaf fall down on the  smooth black marble windowsill, the green trees on the back , a poetry picture I think. Check it out below, its hard to keep in serenity in this riproaring world!

    Bumblebee

    Gibson is only a dream, I finally realized. Cost 1,5000 RMB on a guitar is a luxury, not for people like me. Bumblebee is a epiphone les paul standard, I buy it from a post-rock guitar player . To me, its sunburst color, plump body and characteristic sound of lp shape made me satisfied much. The condition of Bumblebee is quite good, we clean it up and remove the pickguard to make it looks more vintage. The soud is warm and tight, Jimi said it will take times to learn how to get it under my control, hope it will last too long. 
     
    Bumblebee is the name I gave to her, as the color and her image gave me the inspiration. Photos atteched will show you how she likes, hope you enjoy my new friend and believe we will drive you crazy!!!

    Rehearsal

    First day of the Golden week, very nice day! We start our first rehearsal in Hankou, a little bit far but a very well decorated place. The boy in charge is a kind host who is said to be a nu-metal player. Anyway, the place is good and I think the band members have the same feeling with me.Tanyan give us a suprise today, no bullshit, he is the persussion master. His amazing job give us a wonderful backup and I would rather said it is a backbone for us, as I always consider the drumer as the soul of a band. He controls the rythem, and the rythem is the skeleton of the music, our job are just flesh and skin. Hope he could become better and better in the future and the most important- made us rocks!
     
    On the way back to Wuchang, we take a ferry to across the river, such a nostalgic experience, like back to the old days. Everything seems perfect this evening. There are many yong lovers on the street, a romance season, but I just had my guitar hanging on my back and, the GT-8 is fucking heavy. 15 KG's loads is a good way to lose weight... the next rehearsal will be on May 4, hope it will be a more efficiency one. Well, that's the stop, peace out, guys!
